Taco bake with a zing!

Hello Chancers!

I was poking around Pintrest, as I am normally doing, and I found this recipie and I thought I would try it.

I found it on this website : http://www.recipebyphoto.com/easy-doritos-taco-bake/

who got it from: http://twomaidsamilking.blogspot.com/2011/04/hunk-of-meat-monday-taco-bake.html

Ingredients:

1 lb. hamburger

1pkg. taco seasoning

8 oz. sour cream

1 pkg. crescent rolls (8)

1 can tomato sauce

1 can diced tomatoes (optional)

1 c. shredded cheese

Nacho Doritos

1. Brown the hamburger and drain.

2. Add taco seasoning, tomato sauce, 3 tbs of water, diced tomatoes and let simmer.

(I used diced tomatoes unpeeled. Some recipes call for peeled diced it is up to you.)

3. In a glass 13x13 pan roll out the crescent rolls. (The recipe calls for a 9x13 pan but in order to fit all of the rolls a 13x13 pan will do.)

4. Pour the meat over the rolls. Layer the sour cream. Layer the cheese.

5. Crush about ¾ of a bag of Nacho Doritos and sprinkle them on top.

6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.

Enjoy!!

7. Enjoy!!

It was a very different but delicious and quick meal to make. I tried to use fat free or low fat ingredients where I could. I was even able to use low sodium Taco Seasoning. I am sure you could even add olives, lettuce, or whatever else you like to add to your tacos, between the cheese and the Doritos. I say live a little....try it different ways!
