Life is like a camera... Focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot...

Hello Hello!
I thought I would start my blog with a quote about how life is like a camera. This has both a figurative and literal meaning to me, but we will get into why a little bit later. Do you remember your senior year of high school when they asked you to write something about where you saw yourself in 10 years? I do. I wrote something along the lines of married, with millions of dollars, and having done everything I ever wanted to do. Well let me tell you, that did not happen. As disappointed as I was at that 10 year mark, that I wasn't a jet setting millionaire with a house on every beach, I started to realize very few people are where they thought they would be. The reality of the normal adult life has set in and its alright. I realize that not everything in your life happens when you want it to, most of the time life happens on its terms not yours.
I settled into college and then work and somewhere down the line became an adult. When it happened I can’t be sure, but it did. My school age dreams faded and I became more and more comfortable with the life I am supposed to live. Work, paying bills, seeing friends when we can get together, dating when applicable, and do it all again tomorrow. But there is more to that right? What happened to the adventures you had when you were a kid? What happened to the small things that made you laugh and forget? I have been asking myself that more and more these days. What happened to the days when I would try something I had never done? What happened to getting in the car and going places I had never been?
Sadly in this economy the times of running off on adventures have become more and more expensive, and as we get older we have less and less time for the things that once brought us pleasure. This happens to almost all of us. We get jobs and it becomes a situation where we need money to work and work to have money. We get married and settle down and time gets away from us and we never finish or even start that project or class we really wanted to. So many times have I had an idea and never quite got it off the ground, which is why I am doing this. I am finally going to make sometime for the little things that make me happy. I love DIY projects, cooking, various type of knitting/sewing, crafts, writing, and my passion above all else, video and photography, hence the quote above. Yes that quote seemed fitting to me, because it is all about living life, making mistakes, learning from life lessons, having some fun, and if it doesn't work out, trying again, which is what I would like to start applying to my daily life, and literal, because I love looking at life through a lens and that statement is how I live my professional life.
This new start will give me a way to share my creativity and hopefully inspire others as so many people have inspired me. I want to get up and do the many things that make me happy. Join me on this journey and I hope you have as much fun as I do!
